We voted today.

Here's what its like to vote in LA: We stood in line with a TV actress and a horror movie actress (we forgot her name, or we'd have linked to her bio too.) Joining us was a sports broadcasting major from USC, who kept hitting on the two tomatoes relentlessly, in spite of the fact both were already engaged. He was regaling us with the tale of how he just filed an in-depth report on one of the CA Ballot Propositions. To which he was asked: "So what's your opinion?" His answer: "I dunno."

We waited in line for about an hour. Not bad. In the word of one of the people in line with us, the election apparatus here in LA was "slow, but not dysfunctional.”

Some closing thoughts on the election:

For you McCain supporters, you're probably asking yourselves why a self-described “maverick” turned his campaign over to Bush acolytes.

For Obama supporters who are high on the possibility for the next four years, we offer you two words of caution: Deval Patrick. Wait, here's two more: Tony Blair.

More odds and ends:
No matter what happens, remember this: the Bradley Effect never existed

Why aren’t these things run on a Saturday? We have no job, so it was easy enuf for us to stand in line for an hour. Other people? Not so much.

Cynthia Mckinney was listed on our ballot as one of the choices for President. Yes, THAT Cynthia Mckinney.

We’re watching the CNN hologram, and it is the most ridiculous thing we’ve ever seen.

Don't let us catch any of you mocking the Electoral College. It's there for a reason.
